Diving and Marine Archaeology
Since 2022 I have been training in scuba, underwater wreck exploration and marine archaeology with the Seychelles Underwater Centre and working my way through the PADI qualifications.
I’ve been exploring wrecks in the Indian Ocean by diving and studying processes of erosion and coralisation. It’s my aim to eventually be able to dive to the specific wrecks I’ve been learning about, and take part in searches.
In the Thames Estuary I have so far been exploring from above the surface, by boat, using existing marine charts and sonar scans to examine the seabed and also trained in the pool with Canterbury Divers.
